Huddy’s cousin, Kak Ila had a baby shower (aka cukur ramut) for her newborn son, Haaziq Aryan on the 29th of June 2008.

When The Overdosers first discussed about which goodies to bake, the colour “blue” was definitely in the planning cards from the beginning. Of course as Amal and Shla reminded everyone, one should not be colour sexist. 
Thus the splash of pink,yellow,green on both the cupcakes and the sugar cookies that we decided to bake for this special occassion.
Presenting- Swirly Rainbow!
We customized a cupcake stand for this occassion. A three tiered stand to be exact, which was drapped with gold wrapping and held up by colosium inspired stands and styrofoam boards. Very pretty and practical method to display our cupcakes!
If you peer closely, you can see a very nice basket (courtesy of Nadiah) with our sugar cookies on it.
We used 2 shapes- a pram and a baby’s onesie for the cookies. The distinctive pink colour with the colourful sprinklers must be the reason why it was a hot favourite amongst the kids.

For this occassion, since Kak Ila loves chocalate, we baked chocolate cupake topped with vanilla buttercream frosting. We had 2 colours of buttercream frosting- one was a lighter shade of blue and the other was bright blue!
For an added burst of colours and playfulness, we chose to use rainbow candies and little sugared hearts for the decorations. Colours is definitely the best way to set a mood to an occassion!
